Is there much of a difference between front and back camera on phones?

How much of a difference is there? Does selfie cam cause more distortion even if the picture is taken from a distance?

I think as long as its 2 meters back it wont cause distortion. But usually, on most phones the back camera is significantly (My phone back cam has 2x the amount of megapixels than the front so 2x quality) better quality than the front.

Thanks. Doesn't uploading your pics to Tinder downgrade the quality anyway no matter which cam you took the picture with?

I just had a quick google, seems tinder only downgrades the pics if they are above 640×640 in size. So I suggest cropping your images to fit that size.

Oh shit, I didn't know that. That explains why they look like they were taken on a 2005 curry pajeet phone as soon as I upload them.

Selfie cam it's always 24mm lens. Back camera is usually 50mm. The wider the lens, the less distortion there will be. Google image "Lens distortion effect" and see by yourself

so even if I take a picture from far away, it's going to be more distorted on the selfie cam?

back camera is never 50mm unless you have a flagship phone with a telephoto camera. they are 20-25mm actually. 50mm is the focal length closest to the human eye and its ideal.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S20. Is this good enough for pictures?

it's decent, 29mm. Just make sure to use the telephoto lens not the main camera.

So basically not the selfie cam?
I took a selfie with the selfie cam and did shit on Tinder, is that a valid excuse?
I took a selfie with my iPhone 7 before and got 60 likes in a week and the selfie was objectively worse. Idk, maybe it's because it's summer so the college girls are gone.
I need to take normal pictures.
