Is this a good hair style for me?

This is my hair currently, i’m growing the sides out so i can get it to cover the ears abit , im in the messy / awkward phase so how can i maintain a clean look? This is the hairstyle im going for, hopefully will have it in 3 months

yeh it’s been like 1 1/2 to 2 months now of growing out the sides haha
