Is this a good skull? Or is the mandible too forward?

Just look- that's mine, and I’ve actually been diagnosed with a skeletal Class III occlusion. My surgeon plans to advance the maxilla by about 6-7mm.
Your relation of Maxilla to Mandible positioning looks normal in comparison.

Is that little dot on the neck the hyoid?

What is the factor that made him realize that you have a class 3? Your teeth seems to match and i might be measuring wrong but your anb is not that far off. Mine doesn't have an angle between a and b

Good gonial angle. The mandible looks good.
I always fail the cross test on the side profile tho, the nose stays a little bit behind the x

I consulted multiple orthodontists and surgeons, including friends of my parents who had no vested interest. All of them confirmed it.

Because of this discrepancy, my jaw joint suffered cartilage damage, as shown on a CBCT scan, and the pain is hell every single day.

My current surgeon explained that I never noticed it before because my body compensated for the misalignment to maintain a somewhat functional bite. Visually, the issue is quite noticeable due to the misalignment of my lips.
Actually even my mandible is too far back.
I had to wear a splint for a month to see where it wants to move, if it is in a „relaxed“ state- and then, when taking off the splint my bite was basically tooth on tooth about 5-10min.

Looks pretty good.

My surgeon even mentioned that most guys would wish for a lower jaw like mine- but this would still be a big improvement.
My jaw is nothing compared to my dad’s insane jaw, though.

According to the surgeon- my entire midface is set back.
