Certain ages, happens monthly and affected ny lifestyle ( Lack of sleep, being a druggie, excessively overweight etc. )

I shed horrible amount of hairs too, I started using minoxidil so I hope it's the shed from it

When I was obese with high estrogen, my hair texture was really silky and smooth, like a woman’s. Then I dropped almost 100lbs, fixed my diet, got in the gym, skyrocketed my testosterone and DHT in general. My hair texture got worse/drier and I receded a bit at the temples. Thought I was balding but after adjusting to the new hormonal baseline my hairline looks the same 2 years later.

Lifestyle changes that raise testosterone and DHT can cause some shedding. Damage to your hair, like dying it, can also cause shedding. Same with taking oral minoxidil. Keep in mind that some shedding is normal, everyone has hair that falls out. If you’re picking out hairs it could just be because you haven’t showered/washed your hair so all the detached hairs are sitting on your scalp.

If you’re worried about norwooding just take pics of your hairline and crown in the same lighting over a few months and compare

Odds are your shedding is just more apparent because of the increase length of hair. Same happened to me when I had long hair. I thought I was rapidly balding but my hair is fully intact.
