is this chin recession caused by mandibular recession? or just chin recession by itself?

need your opinions, im tryna figure out whether my chin recession is JUST the chin (by itself) - or if it's caused by the mandible or even the maxilla.
i've got a class I bite, it's basically almost perfect, if the chin is due to my mandible/maxilla, i'd probably need a bimax then.

i think the shape of the chin needs to be accounted too u can have a soft chin but good mandible

Yea I'm no expert but maxilla and mandible are both recessed but recessed equally. So I think surgeon knows how to ailing them perfectly with bimax. Obviously both need to go forward. ( get braces and palate expander before bimax.)

not sure if this plays a role but im pushing 20% bf. would've thought that might give the illusion of the jaw sinking into the neck but fuck knows.

Get a custom genio / custom genio with custom implants. Doing a just a regular sliding genio on a flat chin might not produce the best results.

Exactly what I thought. My mums chin is recessed, unfortunate I couldn't get my dad's chin.

Class I bite kinda explains it too. Genio it is.
