That means features, based on location? And upbringing telling what is "good" and "bad".

I agree, above is in general a significant factor. In percieved sexual marketplace value.
On a personal basis, I have seen niche type of men, or phenotype. Doing well. Because they are appealing to a certain type of group of women, and because of very few options. If they are a special, at least.
