malocclusion makes your jaws smaller and can inhibit breathing and make your sleep worse since it forces you to open your mouth to breathe thru ur mouth when you sleep. basically contributes to mouthbreathing.
yeah jaw surgery isn't exactly a cosmetic surgery lol. the main purpose of it is for sleep apnea.
