Chase stimulus,not fatigue.I used to do like 4sets of 12 now i do like 2sets till failure.
Just pick the heaviest weight u can do 5 reps with and every workout u do try to add an extra rep.then when u reach 8 reps just add some weight till ur max is 5 reps again and repeat.I was eating at maitenance btw.Im doing a cut now,yet im still increasing intensity every workout.i prob have good genetics but this kind of training style has helped many build muscle.tbh just listen to mike mentzers advice
