Is this hair a bad idea?

I dress in a kind of e-boy kind of way just without the cringe instead of just basic clothing.
I have dark brown hair, lighter than the guy in the photo.

I’m thinking of dying only some strands blonde like he did. I’m thinking it would add a little bit of uniqueness or whatever. Is this a good idea and if yes then should i only dye a few strands or a lot more?
