i really hate the awkward phase which takes a long time to grow out, any tips? should i get trims at hair saloon every month or two or just thug it out?

Definitely get trims yes, I hate the awkward phase. But I learned the hard way you have to be very specific on what you want. I wasnt and I got botched and now I have to wait two months for it to grow back again. Already miss my long hair

damn that sucks, atleast you can wear beanies now in winter until it grows back, right now i have almost same hairstyle as the first pic, ideally i would like to have the same length as the second pic but it's just way too much time to grow it to that point.
