Example in my case: (182 + 171) / 2 + 13 = 189.5 cm

In my case I think my grandfather’s genes had influence since he is 188 (born in 1940) and my cousins on his family side are also big boys (189 cm & 193cm)

My cousins on the other side are much shorter

You used the formula wrong:

The height of the father + height of the mother +13 cm for a man and then subtract with 2

In your case: 182+171 = 353 +13cm = 366 / 2 = 183cm
