You probably are just a late bloomer, HOWEVER it is worth speaking to your parents. Explain to them that you have concerns about your height and that you want to go with a doctor, they'll probably refer to you to an endocrinologist (doctors that deal with hormones). Another possibility if that you may have growth hormone deficiency, and you may need replacement therapy if that's the case, it's always better to catch it earlier to avoid being shorter than you could have been.

Lastly, if you aren't sleeping right, eating right, not taking sun, exercising, or doing even the bare minimums to have a relatively healthy body this could also delay your development and reduce your maximum height potential so make sure to put that in order as early as you can. It's soooooo good that you're thinking about this early on (as long as you don't become obsessed with it and take irresponsible choices because of it - don't take steroids, at least not yet), the earlier you develop foundational habits the more you'll be able to maximize your potential. I only started taking this shit seriously when I was like 16, and coming from disgusting habits ever since I was a kid (my diet was shit and I slept like 5 hours TOP every night), I could have probably been .5 to 1 inch taller than I am now.

Low-key I wouldn't recommend this, being 5 feet at 14 is a clear sign that he hasn't had a major growth spurt, and since his immediate family aren't this tall it's safe to say he is going to grow taller. If he has an HGH deficiency, he should get replacement therapy from a medical professional, we know damn well no 14yo is neurologically developed enough to do it properly, he might fuck himself more than it'll help.

If he wants to even consider things like Mk-677, precursors, analogs or straight up growth hormone, he should at least wait until he's 16 and a doctor has already seen his case.

YOU HAVE TO lock the fuck in. 10% caloric deficit (meaning you take your maintenance calories, take 10% of that and remove it from your calories), eat meat, fish, eggs, fruit, vegetables, and very little processed food (if any, preferably none). You could use an app like Cronometer to track your calories and micronutrients to make sure your nutrition is also dialed in.

Assuming your dad is 5'10" and your mom is 5'9", you’ve got solid genetics, if everything goes well, you should have no problem reaching 6 feet. So don’t stress.

Focus on eating well and maintaining a slight calorie deficit if you're trying to lose weight, but don’t go too hard, messing with your hormones at this stage isn't smart. Keep lifting, but be mindful of your spine. Squats and deadlifts are fine, just avoid training too close to your 1RM. Stick to sets of 6 reps as A MINIMUM to minimize injury risk and long-term spinal stress. Strength can wait, prioritize staying healthy and consistent. Sleep 9 hours and have a consistent bedtime.

5 feet at 14, with average dad and tall mom. Could he have closed growth plates and not be able to grow anymore? That's possible, but is it likely? NOT AT ALL. Most people stop growing at like 17, lucky if they stop growing at 18, he still has 4 more years until that.

Even without knowing his bone age, everything points to the fact that he's a late bloomer with 99% likelihood.
