we know in the lm, bp, and incel communities there are many genuinely mentally disturbed people. of course theres ER which everyone knows about (although he didn't lm, but still there's overlap between the communities). but today i came across a strange example and i'm wondering if this was another example of someone from these communities going insane and murdering someone.
so i was listening to music on yt and i found this song by Christina Grimmie and it was pretty good so i checked her wiki and it said she "was" a singer so that shocked me because she wasn't old. But apparently she dies in 2016 at 22 years old because a guy shot her three times and then killed himself. But now notice the details about this guy:
- 27yo guy, worked for the Geek Squad
- disturbing parasocial obession with this girl (they didn't actually know each other and had never even met)
- he watched enormous amounts of her youtube material and social media all the time (ie he was chronically online)
- coworkers described him as socially awkward and detached
- lived like a hermit in his room
- he thought he could get a relationship with her if he improved his appearace so he:
- lost 50 pounds
- had hair implants
- lasik eye surgery
- teeth whitening
Five days before murdering her (and killing himself), he stated to a friend he was "tired and ready to ascend." wtf
he traveled to CA for a fan signing event. he walked up to her and she spread her arms to give him a hug when he pulled out a gun and shot her three times, including in the head, and then shot himself.
was this maybe a very early example of a crazy looksmaxxer? back then people didnt connect the dots because it wasn't much of a thing yet, but going over the facts it seems pretty clear to me he was into lm ideas even back then. of course his fantasies were completely delusional and he was severely mentally disturbed. really sad story. dont go crazzy people.
