I thing inward but it is hard to tell, but i think there is fat around it hiding definition so I cannot tell, so I recommend that unless the flatness is caused by lighting.

Maybe, you won't know until you lose that fat. But yea there is a good chance. I would say its 50/50 but outward gonions are kinda rare to see nowadays so I can't say.
