100%. I’ve tried these type of tactics on the bar and it only worked only on other low status and ugly ppl. Didn’t work on the jocks/frat bro groups that came with Stacies. They would just thanks to whatever compliment I gave them and then turn back to their friends and ignore me.Naaah, it's bullshit, it's all about looks, status, money, not acting in a certain way, no one will give a shit about you if you're ugly, poor, low-status no matter how much you will try to appear charismatic, powerful, present, warm, etc.
At the same time if you're good looking, rich or high-status, people will flock to you, even if you act like an asshole, so there's no point in improving your "charisma".
Lol, he mentions some books in the clip like "The Charisma Myth", but if you read that book between the lines, you will notice that all those charismatic people mentioned in the book are celebrities, attractive, rich or powerful people and many anecdotes mentioned are when those people interacted with someone of lower status than them like fans, employees, service workers, average folks, etc., and then they just practiced basic courtesy and politeness like being friendly, smiling, remembering the other's person's name, asking questions and acting like they were interested, etc., and the others were like "OMG, he's soooo charismatic!!!!".100%. Exactly. There is no social mobility without a 2PSL+ ascension or getting rich or getting lucky with the influencer routeLol, he mentions some books in the clip like "The Charisma Myth", but if you read that book between the lines, you will notice that all those charismatic people mentioned in the book are celebrities, attractive, rich or powerful people and many anecdotes mentioned are when those people interacted with someone of lower status than them like fans, employees, service workers, average folks, etc., and then they just practiced basic courtesy and politeness like being friendly, smiling, remembering the other's person's name, asking questions and acting like they were interested, etc., and the others were like "OMG, he's soooo charismatic!!!!".
It obviously doesn't work the other way around, no one will be impressed by your friendliness, humor, kindness, warmth if they perceive you as being lower than them in the social hierarchy.
