I casually picked it up when i started listening to j-pop, I read the lyrics and learned the sounds. Eventually I became familiar with the alphabet. I cannot formulate any sentences so it’s probably better to learn it from someone.

The best I can tell you as someone with a similar experience is to just not waste the years you have left if looks are your problem get surgery or just travel and see the world my guy be optimistic life can be very cruel but you only have one so make the most of it
