I noticed a similar phenomena when mewing, a few days after I started I developed a 1 mm diastema and it closed in the next 2 months

I am getting my diastema pulled together with a spiraled metal wire in a addition to braces.
Technically it could close itself over a longer period, but me and my ortho wanted to close it faster.
