Is waking up with a dry mouth a sign of nightly mouthbreathing?

Look for drool on pillow if so it’s definitely a yes

I don’t smoke much I use snus
yep same thing nicotine gives u dry mouth. i have been told by mutltiple people i sleep w my mouth open but i dont wake up with dry mouth.

It's true alcohol, cigs, some drugs etc can give you dry mouth, but if you don't use these things and still wake up with dry mouth then yeah, most probably. Also if you drool on pillow like mentioned above or snore, that means your airways get closed and you need to mouthbreath to make up for it. I always sleep on back with small pillow at slight angle so it keeps my head at such position as to keep airways open
 
the night mouth-breathing-pill destroyed me completely.

Yes, I forced myself to nose breath today and I didn't wake up with a dry mouth, I feel much better
