i say yea its good but not ideal bc you will starve like a pig and might overeat

needs insane self-discipline and you need electrolyte water so you dont feel fatigued

Just do keto

A friend of mine lost 46 kg In 8 months With water fasting
8 months of water fasting is like 80kgs+ (but also very not safe)
did he stop many times?
also yes its very good, just don't start hard, slowly expand the days
I recommend watching this video:

Only stay in calorie deficit and you'll lose weight, waterfast is worthless imo

Idk if he stopped it or not , but as he says himself ‘he doesn’t feel like before , he doesn’t feel hungry anymore and he’s always very jealous of everything‘

You're gonna lose both fat and muscles, you need to take steroids if you want to spare the muscles.

after doing OMAD I also stopped feeling hungry 24/7 and my hunger went down, I also feel like my metabolism really improved
since in peroids I don't fast and cheat a bit (snacking a bit, overeating) I don't get fatter and sometimes go down a bit in scale

Terrible idea. You will lose so much muscle water fasting. Just gym, do cardio and eat a high protein, low carb, low fat diet with carbs being eaten around training (as that is the most important part to have them). If you lose weight too fast as a natural then muscle gets stripped fast. Also, if you crash diet your metabolism will fall. This will make it harder to lose more weight and gain muscle. Slowly cut calories and only cut them when you hit a plateau.

Thats normal when you diet hard. It 'tricks' your metabolism if you have a cheat meal every few weeks. Bodybuilders have been using it for decades

works for me
would be dumb if your body ate all your muscles away in the wild because that would mean you would have a harder time hunting to get food

What is "spare muscle". Your goal should be to keep all of the muscle you have built.

What the above posters mean is, if you're going to be in a caloric deficit for a certain period of time, you are bound to lose both fat mass, and muscle mass;

the extent of how much fat mass you lose, compared to actual mass, will depend on a number of factors.

Yes, you will lose some muscle mass, but in your weight loss, you will spare more muscle mass relatively, compared to fat mass, if that makes sense

I've got a regimen in place, that I've been calibrating for a couple of months;

now I think I'm able to lose fat (slightly), and gain lean muscle mass (slightly), at the same time.

I only have anecdotal proof, from what I can observe on my body, from a flawed point of view (I cannot prove that I am actually correct, I just emit the hypothesis, from visual changes in physique, that I might be losing fat, and gaining muscle at the same time, over a period of several weeks)

I have been "cutting" for like 18 months now. I really can't properly cut because of my lifestyle, so I just diet year-round and expect that some weekends I am gonna fuck up and drink and eat myself way past equilibrium.

I have been steadily putting on muscle and staying pretty lean for almost four years, and really blew up in the first two. I wish steroids and sarms didn't exist because I am literally made to be big, and have such a nice genetic advantage. I have been accused of not being natty a few times, and have never once bulked. Steroids and Sarms level the field and lead to people like me being assumed to have tried them.

Yes this was a humblebrag, I acknowledge that, but I really do wish they weren't a thing.

How old are you?

exactly what I am doing, every few weeks I take a few days to eat in maintenance in 1 day I overeat a bit
its so useful both in gains and mentally

20 and some change.
Congrats, you seem to get all the benefits of using steroids, without actually using them, so without the adverse side effects that often go along with AAS or SARMS use

fasting sucks and ruins your metal health. After your food abstinence you will feel 3 times more hungry than before.
the only way to lose weight on the long term is a constant calorie deficit combined with a diet consisting in food able to suppress your hunger after the meal:
chicken, legumes, a lot of water, rice, potatoes, dry oat flakes and a lot of water again

I did a series of water fasts 14 days, a few 7 days, a bunch of 5 days and dropped weight.

if you’re hair is thin don’t do it unless you reduce your heavy metals in your system.

also once you lose the weight you gotta keep up your fitness and wellbeing it’s so important because the weight will come back.

if you’re under 21 don’t do it as that may impact you growth.

I wouldn’t say that’s true my hunger didn’t dramatically increase until I ate simple carbs and alcohol

Being hungry doesn't always equal eating, therefore gaining weight.

Willpower goes a long way toward not responding to any hunger pangs you might have during your fast

intermittent fasting ruined my mental health, while I was doing it, I used to think about food all the time and could not stop myself from binge eating in the one meal a day I had.

I used to have the meal as soon I woke up in the morning, consequently I could not sleep well because I woke up in the middle of the night hoping it was already morning

Did you eat enough calories in your eating window? The point of intermittent fasting is to be able to lose weight while not cut down on your consumption heavily. It's for people with big appetites who have trouble staying under their calorie threshold so if you already have a hard time getting all your calories in for the day intermittent fasting isn't for you. You are intended to eat a ton of food in your eating window, if you're eating healthy getting something around like 2.5k calories is a lot of food. If you love food it's fun, I had fun eating giant meals like a king or something. 3-5 plates of food in a couple hrs. Nowdays though I have a pretty low appetite so fasting is definitely not feasible and I imagine I'd have similar problems to you.

intermittent fasting gave me such a big appettite that I was able to compete in a "man v. food"-like eating challenge

yeah but only drink to keep yourself hydrated. If you drink too much you will demineralize your blood.
there should be an equillibrium between eating and drinking.
