Is weight gain a part of a growth spurt or am I just a lard?

I doubt its from a growth spurt. Maybe if your a late bloomer and your parents are somewhat taller than you are, then its very possible tho.

Then its obviously from a growth spurt. Most people get a growth spurt between 16-17 as far as I know. And in your situation its really obvious.
