Narrow jaw can be good, but wide jaw is almost always better. Anything that makes a wide jaw bad like rounded gonions is something that makes a narrow jaw bad. How wide is a different question though, I think a very small minority will say wider than bizygomatic width. Most would say 90%+ of bizygomatic width.

Though jaw width is only one factor of what makes a good jaw (and what makes a good lower third), you can have a good jaw that is <90% of bizygomatic width. Angularity is king.

Basically, the mid mandible width that connects to your chin versus the width of your gonial (starts where the gonials begin after the mid mandible). I wouldn't say O'Pry's is ideal. For people with 130 gonial angle it is definitely top tier but for anyone under 130 (like myself), bigonial width being a bit wider similar to one like Jamie Lannister/Cavill is much more preferred.

To get a better understanding, search up MSDO and it explains why it's usually never a good procedure for jaw aesthetics. It widens the mid mandible without ever even touching the gonial width, making the jaw look more U-Shaped/Rounded. A wide jaw will only look good if the ratio of bigonial width is sufficient enough to offset the mid mandible width (look at a guy like Meeks; he doesn't have a wide jaw whatsoever but his mid mandible is very narrow, making his jaw look wider/more angular than it actually is). There's obviously other factors like lower third height (basically how much of your lower third you can see from a frontal), but that has more to do with growing properly (Downward growth versus proper forward growth) as well as chin height and width (height also being determined by downward versus forward growth).

You can have a defined jawline with rounded gonions from the side, you just need the bone there to actually exist (not unlike truecels). Rounded gonions are only bad from the front really but a narrow jaw with > BZ width and hollow cheeks is a great look if you can get it. Ever thought of an extended chin wing?
