The ability to work:
when tired
until exhaustion
hours and hours of focused work everyday
under pressure
under stress
without distraction
without procrastinating

ect
ect

Is this genetic or pure willpower?

Can anyone become a hard worker?

Yes, I'm pretty sure there's a study on it

If you have good work ethic it is a sign that you had to hunt very long, and work very hard toward gathering prey in the past.

That's why most people with good work ethic "surprisingly" are ugly. Because they were failures in nature that had to work all day just to eventually catch a little rabbit :feelsuhh:

I did this after reading atomic habits and probably had the most productive week of my life, but I felt mentally exhausted and defeated every night, it was brutal. Now I'm an over stimulated, low attention span brute that cant focus for more than 20 mins

I know getting rid of my phone would cure me but I can't pull the trigger like the abused dog that I am

IF you cannot do that you are a dopamine addicted porn weirdo and very unhealthy

Consider meditation and eating healthy
This is a normal thing that most people can do, not "chad vs incel" bullshit

The term itself 'work ethic' implies a learned behavior and derives from the term "protestant work ethic". Back in the 17th century when that term became popularized it probably was mostly a learned behavior because everyone that used that term was of the same genetic background. But the term is a misnomer in the 2024 West where other ethnic make up at large percentage of the population. I will spare the long explanation, and just take the contrarian position, and say that 'work ethic' is 70% genetic.

Both nature and nurture play key roles in work ethic

How bad do you want it mate? It's why I got this Ferguson avi and all my taglines/ quotes are related to what should matter to you the most. People always refer to Ronaldo's work ethic but never Sir Alex for whatever reason.

Goggins said "You start putting yourself in situations that suck, you'll find yourself." Put yourself in extreme and punishing situations. Spend all your money on food going out if that's what it takes to dedicate. Or better yet, have no choice.

I had the hardest year of my life last year. Have no girlfriend after 10 years, hell, have no parental-supported house after most of your life to being near homeless. Go from having fuck all responsibility like the average fetus to @Xangsane in this shithole to having it all.

Last month I read around 145 tabs of bookmarked BOTB's as I made a deadline for myself to get to the 250-350 there is to refine the info down. Better place than I had started with deffo and that dosen't include my job, housing, health and education attempts I've made this year alone. Working on my goals for a better life staying in spoons every night until close. Just as @averagejoe said "work every waking moment until you can retire".

Hope this can help. Suffer mate. You will never look at depression, guilt or shame the same negative way again. Force yourself onto an education course of whatever kind. Utilising anger into productivity is one of the hardest yet best accomplishments.

You got this:
