Is writing down with notes much more effective for memorymaxxing?

I have heard this motive 100 times, but is there any basis on this study, or just a conservative view from older people trying to push away technology

just say at improving memory man

but yes writing down notes will make you remember things more effectively, it helps a lot, especially if ur trying to remember for a written exam

Nothing scientific here, but.
I'd presume the motoric action of writing something down transfers more than simply typing it on a keyboard since you'd have to be more conscious of it.

I don't take notes myself but I probably should.
