Isn't carrot maxing death sentence for hair?

I heard people say it's better than supplements.

For beta carotene maxing you need to eat like half a kilo of them.

At that point you are overdosing on vitamin a which is linked to hair loss.

Plus beta carotene is showed to damage tyhoid function also linked to hair loss.
 
Just eat carrots in moderation. More Vitamins > Less Vitamins imo.

You will find studies suggesting everything is bad, or everything is good. Just balance what you eat and you should be ok.

Living life is slowly killing you.

Beta carotene is not vitamin a and it's almost impossible to overdose on vitamins from real food

And a lot of people here eat 10 carrots for beta carotene maxing.

I guess eat 6 carrots a day if you don't want to take the risk. In my opinion it seems quite difficult to overdose on vitamins. You would have to intentionally try and OD on vitamins to do this. 6 Carrots a day will give you lots of beta carotene.

You won't even convert that much beta carotene to vitamin a and if you would it's still not a problem
 
Carrots have beta carotene, not vitamin A, this is converted in the body into vitamin A according to the needs, that's why you can't overdose on it.

So when I googled carrots having 500 McG of vitamin a and upper upper limit being 3000 McG. It doesn't mean anything and people who eat here 10 carrots a day don't do anything bad for themselves?
 
I thought I read the body won't convert as much when you have good levels. Also I think quite a few people don't convert a lot of Beta Carotene to vitamin A.

You can't overdose on natural vitamins most of the time, just on man made chemicals.

That's a lot of carrots, you will probably become bored with them...

It should be...You can just try and see the results for yourself. Or just buy beta carotene supplements if you don't wanna eat so many carrots, they are pretty hard to chew...

It's impossible to overdose on vitamin A from carrots since there's zero in them and about 2/3rds the beta carotene isn't absorbed anyway . You would die of some other toxicity long before then. Carrots do contain trace pesticides and oxalates which are toxic in high amounts and will inhibit absorption of other minerals. In other words, stop carrot maxxing you morons.
