Disclaimer: I am not condoning rape, it is illegal and I advise against doing it.

In the bible, sex outside of marriage is a sin. However, one of the things mentioned in the bible is that if you lead someone else into sin, it's really bad because you are causing the spiritual decline of someone else.

So with that being said, if you fornicate with someone, you are sinning yourself and causing someone else to sin as well. But if you rape them, then you sinned but at least you didn't cause them to sin, since it wasn't a choice on their part.

So from a religious standpoint, it's actually worse to fornicate than it is to rape.
