I became a bad manShouldn’t need to explain why

it doesn't necessarily create it but rather makes it more accessibleShouldn’t need to explain why
Covert narcissism contributes to isolation if you conclude that everyone you come across is annoying or does not benefit you in some way.
Narcissism is a mental disorder, how can it be created with isolation, only if you already have it, it will just be more visibleShouldn’t need to explain why
Isolation doesn't create narcissism, it just removes the mask
That's almost corny, but it is a pretty good way to put it.Isolation doesn't create narcissism, it just removes the mask
ik its bit corny, but yea whateverThat's almost corny, but it is a pretty good way to put it.
Covert narcissists usually befriend people if they see them as useful in some way (ie building social proof, receiving social stimulation, access to women, jobs, etc). They will see each relationship as a balance sheet of costs and benefits. If the costs (ie getting annoyed or made fun of) are more potent than the benefits, then they will withdraw from the world.Really like this comment
Mind elaborating a bit ?
high iqAs someone who has lived a mostly shut in life throughout my earlier years I can say that being Isolated
didnt at all make me Narcissistic in the sense of thinking as though I were more important than others
but more soo it made me morbidly Neurotic i.e. speedrunning Thoughts 24/7 becoming Hyper Self Conscious
on my own little world which I think does manifest itself in many forms of behaviours including as you say
Narcissism but also things like BPD,OCD etc all of which i suffered from as a young adult.
TLDR : I think isolation makes you Neurotic not Narcissistic
