40 mg accutane per week and tret 0.05 % every night.should i stop or keep going or decrease tret's frequency. skin lowk getting a lil raped. im getting small red spots ( not whiteheads ) with small white thing in middle. couldnt find a pic. lmk tho

lower the strength of tret tbh
to what and what frequency. i had clear skin from tret but i hopped on accutane cus of the pore shrinking benefit. now i got these weird strange red/white bumps on my nose. those arent inflammed tho

0.025%

quit tret, isotret isn't meant to be combined and it doesn't even make any sense for you to combine it anyways. isotret alone is more than enough, combining with other topicals is nonsense. just make sure to hydrate and cleanse

his dosage is giga low tho
oh yeah i see that. 40mg is a daily dose lol. might as well drop the isotret if youre basically not gonna take it all the way. OR maybe talk to a legit derm and have it prescribed and your liver monitored but this is .org so idk

yeah it's not really gonna help with anti aging. shrinking pores and oil control sure. i suggest you just use tret for what youve outlined tho

didnt get the benefit of shrinking pores and oil control on tret. i was on it for a couple of months. gave me a insane glow tho which i hate

Get off tretinoin regardless of whether you up your dose for isotretinoin.
It's stupid to mix and match retinoids.

what dosage
Any answer I give you is arbitrary, there's no way to know what dosage will work for you best, for certain. Just up it slowly until you feel that the dose you're on works.
Realistically, what I would do is run 10mg/day for a month (till I reach saturation) and see how I feel. Taper the dose up/down as you see fit.
Half life for isotretinoin is ~5 days so you'll saturate in a bit under a month.

I told you what I would do already.
And again, you are running two retinoids. If you want comparable inhibition of sebaceous gland activity local to your face without running tretinoin then obviously you are going to need to up the isotretinoin dosage. I don't understand why this needs to be clarified given my reply.

Why would you quit it? If you need to use it then use it. But PIE is from damaged blood vessels, not hyperpigmentation. Oxymetazoline better suits your use case than AA.
i got Oxymetazoline. i thought that was what gave me that shitty small red bumps on nose that looks like barrier damage. ill stop AA and tret and up my dosage and use Oxymetazoline. ty bhai

Not at all. 10mg/day is a low dose. If you're really that concerned, then take TUDCA. I really doubt it's at all necessary for your dose though unless you're already on other stuff that's hepatotoxic. Maybe if you drink a lot, are on oral steroids, etc, then yes, take TUDCA, otherwise, no need.
