U.S tariffs have fucked up Canada's economy
If you have been living under a rock.US imposed, a 25% ad valorem tariff to all imports from Canada. In response, Canada announced retaliatory tariffs , imposing a 25% tariff on approximately C$29.8 billion worth of U.S. goods.
The result in Canada's primary stock market index, has fallen. The financial sector experienced an 8.6% decline, the industrial sector decreased by 7.4%, and the energy sector dropped by 5.4%. Inflation rates in Canada are projected to 7.2% by mid-2025 and and increase in unemployment rate to 7.9% by the end of the year, and approximately 150,000 people arr going to lose their job. If this continues Canada's economy might flat lining like the UK. Brutally over for the great north
