i mentioned how my favourite book was lolita by nabokov while hanging out with this girl and she starts talking at me like im a pedo or a fool

shes never read the book

and usually i would say it just her worldview being shaped by the fact shes a woman but i see people misunderstand this book literally fucking everywhere

same with salo by pasolini

Besides that I struggled to understand the complex wordings combined with the lack of action

So I just gave up, most peoples recommendations waa always some utter trash, same goes for movies
