NYC. New York City one of the most diverse and influential cities in the world. The highest revenue, the most important city in the west. Historically NYC had Irish, Italian and Jews controlling it. If Zohran Mamdani wins the mayoral race it would be a landmark moment for the entire South Asian diaspora in america.

There are already curries in American government Pramila Jayapal, Raja Krishnamoorthi, Ami Bera, Ro Khanna. The FBI director etc but but Zohran's victory is more important for curries. It would be more visible much louder win than bagging a few senate seats. It would also have ripple effects across the country. Just as Irish and Italian victories in New York's past helped solidify those groups as political heavyweights.

It would firmly cement curries as a major player in American politics. Let's see what happens on November 4th.
