It’s not as easy as you think. If you’re insulin resistant then it’ll take time to get back in better metabolic health before you see any real fat loss.

What makes cardio so fucking retarded is that it you have to do it basically forever. If you burn 200 calories by doing cardio and then you stop doing said cardio, the weight just comes back. Complete waste of time unless you want to do cardio for life.

And cardio doesn't even burn that many calories. If you go jogging for 2 hours a day (99% of people don't do this), you can literally lose all your gains by just eating a snickers bar and a glass of milk. Again, complete waste of time.

Back in my lifting days, I counted calories and lost lots of weight (mom even complained about it). This shit is 99% diet. I never did any cardio and still lost lots of weight simply by eating less.

Indeed - funny thing is these people doing cardio will eat more than they usually would because they think they need more carbs before workout.

Most of them would of lost more weight if they had just not done cardio and just put the fork down.

Weight yes. Fat not quite. It’s impossible to lose fat when you have high insulin levels.

Lean mass. Which is everything except fat. But it doesn’t take long until you become metabolically healthy if you eat low carbs and fast. Which in that case you’ll begin to lose fat pretty quickly,

I only do cardio as a bonus to fat loss (which will mostly come from reduced kcal/day), I do agree on its own its a very bad fat loss tool.

Though even 300kcal a day adds up fast; It's half a kilo or 1 pound of fat lost every ten days even when you're eating maintenance.

Still, it's immensely easier to simply eat less so you lose fat whether you do cardio or not.
Cardio can only slightly boost the process, it will never replace eating less.

Difficult to out work a bad diet. Some are able to while others aren’t. I choose to be mindful of what I eat and try keep my activity up along with some hikes up in the hills but don’t waste my time with cardio. Basically super taxing on the body and makes me feel flat and depleted

Drink lots of water because you’ll become dehydrated quickly with the lack of carbs. First few weeks you’ll feel like crap and think you’re dying depending on how fuckef up your system is. Eventually you’ll begin tapping into your fat stores making you a fat burning machine and you’ll feel like a god. Don’t forget to lift also max 3x’s a week.

It’s hard to bulk up on keto/carnivore due to the volume of food you need to consume which is also very pricey and also the fact your muscles will be flat because of 0 glycogen…

Best bet is to bulk up and look like shit for that period and when you happy and wanna look good then go keto/carnivore.

I also feel better mentally/emotionally after cardio

I have a tiring job so I only do cardio Saturday/Sunday anyway

I know a guy does cardio for like 2 weeks to get in shape and then ends up quitting every time because there’s no weight loss. Only to return the next year fatter and doing the same thing again with the same result. When will these fools learn?
Losing weight is all calories-in, calories-out. Most of your calorie deficit is going to come from diet. But cardio will put you in a greater calorie deficit. If you are a diabetic fat ass, in the beginning your weight loss is going to be slow as your metabolism is going to be slow and your body is going to resist losing weight. But eventually if you keep eating at caloric deficit and doing cardio, the pounds are going to start coming off fast. I lost 40 lbs in 6 months. And I was a sedentary fat ass that was probably pre-diabetic. 5'6" 168.2 lbs -> 128.14 lbs (7-day avg).

Now I have the opposite problem. I am dirty bulking like crazy and it takes forever for me to put on weight (and subsequently muscle). I weighed in at 133.4 lbs this morning. I started bulking Sept 29th. I had a bout with mono in November that made me lose almost 3 lbs because I lost my appetite and sense of taste and wasting eating much for a few days.

Maybe it's just me but after ignoring my grumbling stomach for a short while, I stopped getting hungry much.
And I wasn't doing intermittent fasting or anything like that. I ate three small meals per day. I recommend that you get at least 1.8g protein per kg of body weight per day too though. To minimize muscle loss during a cut. Along with a resistance training program in the gym.

What? Running for 2 hours burns well over 1k calories. No one goes for 2 hour runs

They will just eat more since they burn more calories. It could work somewhat if they count calories and eat the same amount disregarding hunger.

Yeah, I don't really get that hungry either. I remember the first time I tried to cut weight it felt like the end of the world if I didn't eat. Now, I barely get hungry ever, whether I'm gaining or losing weight. But, if I do cardio it comes on full force, especially carb craving, which just makes me hungrier for more carbs.

I personally walk as "cardio", because I like it and I can eat ~300 more calories daily. It's not the most effective way but I wouldn't say it's cope unless you hate it, because it's something you have to keep doing for it to be useful. But if you're a lazycel that's on you
