You’re at home and schools out. No homework, no responsibilities. Just you and your Xbox one/ps4.
You fire up your console and put in your fifa 14 disc. You get on and go straight into ultimate team/career mode with this music in the background.
After a few hours Your family gathers around the TV to watch the 2014 World Cup. You join them and watch the final. At the beginning, as like all other matches during the tournament, you see this intro.
It’s germany vs Argentina. U root for whatever team you rooted for. idk what team you liked
The game is tense but it’s goalless. Both sides get numerous chances and close calls. But this play at the 114th minute is different
This player for the German team you may or may not of heard of (schurrle) runs towards the box with the ball and makes a pass to another German player you may or may not of known( gotze). He catches the ball with his chest and kicks it past the Argentinian goalkeeper.
The ref doesn’t signal it as an offside. It’s a goal. Everyone who is rooting for Germany is celebrating. Anyone who supports Argentina feels their heart drop out of their chest. Neutrals have excitement rushing through their veins. A goal at last
The next 6 or so minutes are action packed. Germany tries to defend their lead, Argentina launches a last ditch attempt to save their hopes of winning the World Cup.
Argentina fail to score and Germany are world champions. They lift the world cup
Another World Cup has come and gone. The next tournament is in 4 years. You feel sad that the tournament which provided you joy and excitement for the past month is gone. But you are happy that you lived to experience it.
You go to bed and finish the rest of your summer with your niggas. Prime vidya, prime TV, prime sports, prime YouTube, prime everything. The calm before the storm that was 2016.
These days mogged hard
