My brother rotted all of his teens with his friends but he is making paper in a really good job (for someone with no education, really really good pay, he and all of his friends got lucky and work in the same factory (?) )
He is not miserable, and progressing towards his dream and what he is really good at which is art (he wants to be a tattoo artist, he's bomb at it and really good pay and in demand and everything)
He moved out etc

So basically you just have to focus, act smart get connections and progress
