2017 felt like a minute ago

the spinners, musical.ly, alone by alan walker

However this time was almost a decade ago

And guess what, whats left from our lifes is just 5 of these timespans

And there is no guarantee, some of us might die in their 30s/ 50s

Really makes you rethink your life choices

The past year for me felt extremely quick due to how uneventful it was but the other years felt a bit longer. I think the more activities that you do the less you'll feel like time is moving quickly

I genuinely think we will live to 150 years old minimum as long as we die by natural causes, the advancements in medical technology and ai is insane to the point where there is potential we might be the first generation that won’t die

Its a double-edged sword Id say

The amount of events happening does play a role but it also makes you forget the sense of time both ways

Thats why when youre waiting concentrated for something to happen every second feels long, whereas if youd be distracted, time wouldve gone by faster

Nice theory but at a certain point you wont be able to replace every single organ

skin wont be replaceable for example, you couldnt skin someone alive for that.

It will rot out, same as with other organs. The blood vessels etc

There’s an argument we can transfer our conciousness digitally tho, we’ve already done this with ants im pretty sure. And the rate at which we can slow down aging even without digital consciousness stuff will still be insane, lifespans are only gonna continue getting longer and we will slow down the rate of aging even if we do eventually die. I’m willing to bet on this.

They didnt transfer it they copied it

conciousness digitally
Like to a different body?

Where would we get that from, the idea seems nice but the human body is too complicated to be making copies of

To a digital realm, there’s this show called “upload” which shows the concept. Basically we can transfer our consciousness to an online platform, think about literally living online but it feels real, like you’re physically there. I think it is possible, they’ve done it with ants where they actually had brain activity while having their brain be transferred to a digital realm

The concept itself isnt proven

Scientists have made ants interact with virtual environments while monitoring their brain activity, but they havent actually transferred an ants consciousness into a computer.

Upload takes that idea much further, true mind uploading is still hypothetical, and there is currently no way of knowing whether consciousness could actually be transferred or just copied.

Even if that would be possible, what would people genuinely do there

It would essentially be an afterlife with no limits whatsoever, digital technology is so advanced you could do anything. Would be heaven
