it all comes down to 4 things when mentioning irl and online relevance

1. looks of their average person
2. standard of living (or even perceived standard of living)
3. is their language 'beautiful' or "cool"
4. is their history unique and interesting (ideally engaged in epic wars)

food and cuisine don't even begin to cut it

Indonesia is a shit place but really intelligent businessmen (mostly of Chinese descent) become fucking billionaires just by selling commodities because the place is so fucking huge. imagine collecting 25 cents per day from every citizen in your county or something.
