It's genuinely laughable how much harder STEM courses are than humanities

Just lol

This shit is genuinely 5x more difficult

5x more time investment, 5x more shit to remember, 5x more assignments, 5x more complex concepts, etc

Genuinely STEM degrees may as well be a whole tier above humanities degrees

Mind you I'm literally in intro elementary level shit rn and I can already see this

I bet the IQ disparity between an average stem major and average humanities major is at least 10 points

STEM is harder than humanities on average but the avg high IQ humanities person mogs tf out of STEM, if you made a techbro read kant they would die, i say this as i study stem i find philosophy esp far more complex than coding or CS, physics and pure theoretical math is a diff subject tho

Yes or if you don't hit the lottery and become a professor

It's a shame tbh but it makes sense at the same time

Just supply and demand

I'm just a big reader tbh, history and philosophy are my passions but STEM is where to go if you want to make money and dont intent to work in academia

Same, i am quite passionate about philosophy, anthropology and politics, but i am studying mathematical engineering (because of muh salary)

I am confident in my ability to perform well as an engineer, in the future id like to work in numerical analysis in biotech, but when the time comes i hope to dedicate my life to building a society from scratch.

Its honestly sad that university has gone from
Being a bastion of higher learning, academia and the advancement of knowledge for a select circle in all fields to now a glorified job program tbh
