Maybe it's me potentially being autistic but I really just don't get it.
I'm not saying that they have telepathy of course or that large swaths of people are actually adept at this but it's still strange to me how sometimes they can easily fill in the gaps that your typical de-/reduction would never solve.
They know. They have an idea of where you are coming from and how you feel and what you think of yourself--but they don't even have to do the work of getting to know you.
And... it's disheartening. They know that you want to reach out but they don't act on it. They know the things you wanted to know all along but they keep it all to themselves.
Maybe that's the incel problem? If you're not aware of this plane of communication, if you can't tap into it, you're just bound to be alone.
And maybe romance is hard to conceptualize for people like me because I don't get *this*, and maybe the romantic intent is often communicated this way?
