the average person in the west lives with more luxury, comfort and convenience than kings and queens from the medieval times

just the fact that we can communicate with people on the opposite side of the world instantly at the click of a button is crazy. i don’t think people acknowledge how lucky we are to have access to modern technology

Is it for the better though? we are getting far more censorship online and every social media algorithm is designed to trap you in a dopamine loop as well as making you constantly compare yourself to others online, its great and all but there very big downsides to it

Unfortunately, it’s all relative to our environment. If everyone else around you has it better you’re going to feel like shit , even if kings and queens of the past would kill to be in your position now or a Palestinian child whose lost his home , it’s out of sight out of mind. No one really stops and reflect how unfair the world is and has been , and how lucky the average human today is.
