Hate Is Love With No Channel for Expression
Hatred is an energy whose origin is love – love that couldn’t be expressed. Like uneaten food that sits too long at the back of the fridge, love rots and turns into hate when no one notices it. Like water blocked up in a pipe, it turns dirty when there’s nowhere for it to go.
Eros is the lifeforce that comes from sexuality. When Eros is denied, suppressed, and rejected for long enough, it reemerges as Thanatos - the death instinct. Whereas Eros seeks to expand and nourish life, Thanatos seeks to contract and terminate it. These forces are older than logic, and cannot be rebalanced by logic. You cannot logic your way out of this.
I have love in me. Lots of it. I love trees. I love Nature. I love animals. I care a lot about people who are marginalized. I’ve given a lot of time and energy toward making the world a better place.
But when it comes specifically to Women… the love is complicated, because they don’t WANT my love. They don’t LET me love them. The only thing they want from me is my silence and absence, so they don’t have to think about me. I can’t love them. Not because I don’t want to – but because they don’t want me to. They DEMAND, they REQUIRE, that I suppress, repress, and bottle up my love, continuously, without relief, forever.
And so, all that love has nowhere to go. So it sits in the pipe, turning into hate.
YOURS WOULD TOO. If you were in this situation, YOUR LOVE would turn to hate too, so don’t act like you’re a better person than me just because your love hasn’t turned into hate.
