Background
In three days of university I've learnt more about social skills than any cope youtube video or tiktok solely through my own trial and error. When it comes to socialisation, I believe theory can only get you so far because you need to do it yourself to understand and get good at it. In this short guide I will show you the three essential concepts I learnt these past days which are required when meeting new people or networking.

It's clear to me now that social skills are far more important than I previously thought, the more I'm forced to go outside and talk to over 20+ people every single day the less looks seem to matter. Not to say that they don't matter, but a more realistic interpretation is that each social situation has it's own looks threshold, where only a HTN could mingle with certain groups and so on.

One of my flatmates is an outgoing HTB with numerous friends, by being forced to speak to her every day this has lowered my inhib and allowed me to gain social experience. Personally I'm not used to such a demanding social interaction every day and I've had many cases of dreaded awkward silence with people since I don't know them well. With new people you have to master the following concepts

Bridging method
The bridging method is where you take a very shallow and boring icebreaker and turn it into a conversation, by mastering this you can handle small-talk very easily which is great for networking and avoiding awkward silence. Importantly, small talk leads to familiarity which can then lead to deep conversation with people you know, which is how lasting relationships are reinforced.

For example, if someone says "Nice weather we're having" you canbridge and say "Yeah it's great, this reminds me I'm going on holiday to Spain soon, I can't wait to try the food" and then you can take the conversation where you want from there as long as it's somewhat relevant to what you previously said.

Environmental usage
Besides using the bridging method you should always use your environment. We were touring the campus and I was handed a leaflet for a christian society, which I turned into a conversation by turning around to the group and asking if anyone was religious which we talked about for a couple minutes. I then spoke to a masters student about the university architecture and language when he brought up the fact he was from an azerbaijani slum

In the town we saw a group of furries, and obviously I said to call animal control which the normies from my flat found funny. It created a funny conversation for me to point them out for a laugh, little contributions like that (used at the right time) keep the group spirits high. By keeping spirits high, people will want you around which is obviously essential for making long-term friends.

Avoiding an interview
Imagine you're sitting face to face with a girl at a bar and you're getting to know her. Asking her questions like "what are you studying" "where are you from" "what do you want to do after studying" is very boring and cliche, typically foids will just give you one word answers and not give you anything else. It's your masculine imperative to lead a conversation, don't be fooled by global feminisation because what girls truly want is to be dominated and led.

Machievelli once said "The one who asks is lower than the one who answers" which is true. You should keep question asking to a minimum unless you have a good follow up. You can start off by asking a question, geting her input and then steer the conversation to something different by anchoring to what she said or to tease/neg her. Once she starts asking questions back then you know you're in because foids will only inquire about your own life if they are interested in you.

Conclusion
Those who are ugly, or people who grew up ugly and ascended later in life, university will hit like a fucking train. Being surrounded by extroverted high achievers who were groomed for success will take a toll on your mental state but you have to adapt and overcome the lack of social skill to survive, otherwise you will be miserable and lack the resources to find a good job.

Networking is essential and if you can't socialise properly you might be wasting thousands on your degree. The saying "It's not what you know, it's who you know" is an undeniable truth. Now I have a taste of what the real world is like, you must heed my warning and maxx out your social skills as soon as possible.

This is a good video to watch for those who want to make a start.

Focusing on social kills is only usefeul if you are above average in terms of looks once you reach a certain level, you can then focus on being NT

I disagree. The more subhuman you are the more you need social skills to make up for the fact.
We're all familiar with the halo effect, if you're a quiet sub5 you're a creep whereas if you're a quiet chadlite you're mysterious.
Social skills will help you avoid negative labels

Fair enough, in fact regardless of how attractive you may come across to people it’s pretty much needed for everyone. Helps you land a job easier and makes you respected in society let alone the dating world

Someone who is truly ND can't just go ahead and 'master' social skills. These tips are complete cancer that you tell to normies that have no friends. If you're anti-social this entire thread will only dig you into a deeper hole.

ND antisocials won't be able to even start a conversation

For example, if someone says "Nice weather we're having" you canbridge and say "Yeah it's great, this reminds me I'm going on holiday to Spain soon, I can't wait to try the food" and then you can take the conversation where you want from there as long as it's somewhat relevant to what you previously said.
ND antisocials won't be able to respond in this manner. It'll always be 'yeah' and that's about it. JFL if you think friendless autists can form a coherent sentence when comfronted.

Being able to socialize as a neurodivergent person comes with experience. If you don't have that experience by adulthood then it's fucking over. You'll have to go entirely out of your comfort zone to be able to speak with someone let alone have a conversation with them.

How do i know all of this? Because i don't larp ND, i'm auspie and antisocial and i'm too scared to make phone calls. I had to order meat from a butcher by texting like a loser because i put off calling him for 2 months out of social anxiety.

It isn't as easy as to tell someone to their face "yeah bro just force yourself to socialize'. It DOESN'T work like this. If you put a gun to my head and told me to 'just start being social' i'd tell you to pull the trigger.

Some people prefer to be antisocial too. I've been in relationships that literally lasted 4 years without ever starting to be overly social or non-awkward

The fuck do you mean by "truly ND" I know actual autists male and female irl, I can tell they're neurotic by their mannerisms but this doesn't stop them from speaking to others. Are you talking about if you're genuinely mentally handicapped or what?

ND antisocials won't be able to even start a conversation
ND antisocials can start conversations, they just need a plan beforehand, knowing the concepts I mentioned would help out a lot as it gives logical structure.

ND antisocials won't be able to respond in this manner. It'll always be 'yeah' and that's about it. JFL if you think friendless autists can form a coherent sentence when comfronted.
If all you can respond to a question is "yeah" then you are a low IQ retard. You are probably insecure about your looks and are afraid of expressing yourself infront of others which is likely the actual reason. Considering the context of where we are talking I already understand and I was in the same boat before.

beng able to socialize as a neurodivergent person comes with experience. If you don't have that experience by adulthood then it's fucking over. You'll have to go entirely out of your comfort zone to be able to speak with someone let alone have a conversation with them.
Yeah and that's what im doing right the fuck now JFL. I didn't have experience and yet I'm not whining and making an effort to speak to others. I don't care if I do something awkward because that specific person or group does not affect my character, they have their own biases and opinions

How do i know all of this? Because i don't larp ND, i'm auspie and antisocial and i'm too scared to make phone calls. I had to order meat from a butcher by texting like a loser because i put off calling him for 2 months out of social anxiety.
Yes your example literally happened to me, unless you are actually diagnosed which I suspect you aren't, you are just severely anxious because of your lack of good looks. We are all aware how much looks matter and not having it can obviously lead to this state.

It isn't as easy as to tell someone to their face "yeah bro just force yourself to socialize'. It DOESN'T work like this. If you put a gun to my head and told me to 'just start being social' i'd tell you to pull the trigger.
It's all in exposure therapy and logical understanding. It's your primal brain afraid of being isolated by the tribe because of the constant negative reinforcement you received your whole life. Fix the source (could be looks or whatever) and expose yourself to socialising step by step

Some people prefer to be antisocial too. I've been in relationships that literally lasted 4 years without ever starting to be overly social or non-awkward
Yeah introverts exist and what? Dunno what you mean by overly social because if you're not in consistent contact with your girl shes probably bored and cheating. Being ANTI-SOCIAL is innately unnatural to us as humans.
