• Making (or have made) an effort to make friends and become NT through hobbies (sports, business groups, interest meets)
• In the top 1% of performers in a skill that can get you paid, or garner admiration

And are still treated poorly.

Good thread but disagree with the last bullet point. Realistically most people are not going to be in the top 1% of professions. They need a stable, middle income, 9-5 job.

Edit: My bad, I skimmed over yoir second bullet point. What I said still holds, you don't need the last one. Though it can help.

I agree regarding a 9-5 career being the default, but I said top 1% in a valuable skill or an impressive one. Being a regular employee with top 1% ability in an instrument (just requires consistency) is an edge - in an office or other social environment.

I believe one should optimise in every way possible.
