Because people perceive getting cosmetic surgery as an indicator of pathetic levels of insecurity. It’s also considered unnatural and cheating, especially for men who according to society are supposed to be focused on conquering the world and providing instead of worrying about their looks

Mhhh not every surgery.

I can say with confidence that I will get nose surgery. I have no issue with that. Even if people didn’t knew me before i wouldn’t hesitate. But bimax is something else. It’s psychotic af to get. To get such a surgery for looks reasons you must be very fcked mentally due to your looks.

Most people won’t notice fr. 2-3 years ago when I saw my face I knew something was wrong but not what. A normal person doesn’t see recession. They somewhat see something is wrong but not what. You can say whatever. Like the braces did it or so.

admit to the bimax and make up health reasons for getting it, then deny the rest and gaslight anyone who presses you further

Mh? What do you mean hypocrisy? I totally admit that I’m psychotic as a result of my looks. But you can’t show that to the public hence why talking about bimax as aesthic surgery is a big nono.

Nose surgery is NT but bimax is far too extreme. Ppl would think im a mental wreck(which I am)

For lower thirds surgeries its easy just say its for health reason and your dentist recommanded it to you or something

I would avoid that as well. A clinical recessed jaw makes you look like trash genetics. A good jaw line=good genes. If you say you got that artificially the halo is gone.

If you then ontop say it’s cuz of looks then you’re genetically regarded as trash as well as mentally

I mean in the situation where you have no choice other than giving an explenation
If you go to uni or work and people there know you they will realize your face has changed

As I Said i doubt they will. Even if the changes are quite big I think they won’t notice. And if then I still wouldn’t say I got a surgery that breaks my bones.

I would blame it on the braces. Braces are NT cuz nearly everyone had them. Ppl also lack any understanding of what braces can so they would believe it. And lastly braces are just braces. Ppl don’t see it as artificial like bimax

For my experience people u know and friends will probably talk shit about you behind your back for some months, but then forgot about the surgeries. Look is everything and if u end up with better look after surgeries who cares about what people think.

Yes and No

Every woman and man who I talk to about my plastic surgery is always deeply fascinated to know more, its an excellent conversation topic. They also respect you more.

No way is it associated with "incel" culture, its actually more like instagram, Kim K ect.

They want to see the results and they want to know what it was like. I think people just associate it with "glamour" , "self improvement" "middle class living" I guess people see those shows on instagram and youtube of people living conspicuously.

The sort of person to get costmetic surgery are not people you see daily, its usually a higher elusive activity.
I guess people want to be associated more with people who live that lifestyle?

I haven't met anyone who doesn't respect it, only when my brother told some Fob welfare middle aged pajeets and they gave me a dirty looks as they see it as non masculine, but i don't care about their opinion.

Yeah that’s also a good route. So yoi don’t have to wear braces for so long you went the „surgical route“. Big cap but ppl would swallow it

That’s really interesting because that’s been the polar opposite of my experience (Gaia and I live in the same city, too, which makes it all the more surprising). I’d like to offer a different account of what happens when you disclose your major facial surgery for aesthetic reasons.

I’ve had unequivocally negative reactions about getting bimax (for a mild clinical deformity diagnosed by multiple surgeons, I might add) from friends and even a girlfriend I mentioned this to. Viewed me with absolute contempt, kept repeating I ‘didn’t need it’ without engaging with my stated reasons, said I should go to therapy, dismissively. I even blocked a friend who thought I was mentally ill for considering it. Had similar reactions when I went for other surgeries, hit the gym, dieted strictly to get ripped… it really seems like they think it’s inappropriate that I even try to improve my station. And these are the people who are supposed to care about my wellbeing!

And heaven forbid mentioning this to girls on dates, I tried a few times and they looked at me like a freak. Saw a noticeable shift in their vibe.

Well it’s one thing to get surgeries but you sound like you were actually happy and excited to get your face butchered. Although you might’ve been happy on the inside. Expressing said happiness is like expressing you’re happy to put your 4 inch heigh boosting shoes. Ofcourse people will despise you for cheating your genetic potential so shamelessly.

This is extremely non NT and quite possibly the most out of touch thing I’ve read on this forum.

Anyways for anyone reading please don’t make this mistake. Literally just tell normies you had a overbite/underbite/misaligned teeth and your dentist appointed you for surgery

For nose any variation of sleep apnea/breathing problems should work

Bizarre comment in that you’re speaking of me in particular as being out of touch, I don’t see any meaningful differences to Gaia’s situation, for example. He was pretty open to ‘normies’ about doing bimax for aesthetic reasons and he said they were supportive. The people around me weren’t.

And it’s hardly restricted to the ‘non-NT’ aspect of being open about bimax — these people were pretty hostile to the idea of my getting in great shape, too.

You should say, not only because it's seen as pathetic but also because you shouldn't tell people about everything you wanna do at all.

Of course. But pre-bimax you have braces so people are going to ask. I told people at work I had a bite issue that needed to be treated, insinuating it was functional. No problems there.

over tbh for ur perceived masculinity

If you have straight teeth already can you skip the braces part?
