This is not against your parents in specific but generally speaking, I dont understand the fixation on leaving the house when turning 18. Are you sure you have to pack up and leave or is it more so they dont like you and so you are going to make the first move? Use time to find some sort of stable income where you know you can work there for a couple of years without uncertainty. That is, if you are expecting them to tell you to pack up and leave at any time now. Before then, do not leave by your own volition. Otherwise university is not far away, thats when you should start considering living by your own, if they wont kick you out until then, its better to take it in whilst you have time exploring jobs and balancing it with studying.

I'm gonna spend the next month or so making more money than usual, probably be less active on here

Then once I get enough money for 3-ish months of rent at an apartment, I'll move in, then start figuring shit out further from there
