it’s way better to analyse harmony/facial proportions visually than to measure numerically like an autist

I think it’s much better to judge harmony visually rather than treating it like a math equation and obsessively measuring every ratio. Nobody in real life is going to look at someone and calculate their eye separation ratio or chin to philtrum ratio. They’re just going to look at them and form an impression based on what they see. If something is visually obvious, like extremely close set eyes similar to Marko Jarić, a noticeably short chin compared to the philtrum, or facial thirds that look clearly unbalanced, then it makes sense to consider that a genuine proportional issue.

But some people end up obsessing over measurements that are only a few points outside the so called ideal range and convince themselves there’s something seriously wrong with their appearance when visually it doesn’t even look bad. That’s why I think it’s more useful to look at the face visually when evaluating harmony and ask whether anything actually stands out as noticeably disproportionate. Small numerical deviations if the proportions are extremely out of place

what do u guys think?

reliability is lower then, doing it systematically gives the most accurate result - I see what you mean tho

They do it unconsciously.

agree, there are ideal ranges for certain facial features, but harmony and personality ur face and its features make you attractive.
look wt clavicular for example, decent looking guy and now his new nose makes him look like young sheldon. all because he wanted his nostrils to be in the ideal range with his eyes. obviously it just looks weird now because its different and takes getting used to seeing his new appearance, but imo he looks less attractive

That’s what i said it’s only a problem when u can visually tell there’s something wrong not by obsessing over it being a few points outside the ideal like jordan barrett has a very low es ratio here but no normie will say that he has close set eyes

Not really before the surgery you could clearly tell that his lips to nose ratio was fucked up because his nose was too broad i think it’s just the swelling right now that’s makes him look off
