Confidence is like an instant status boost and makes life way more worth living, but you can’t just decide to do it. Your brain is using a million different data points to triangulate your social value at any time. It’s like a spaceship with tons of little gyroscopes and sensors to detect where you are at any given time. You can’t just decide to be confident unless all those data points tell you you’re Chad. I guess that’s why people larp and lie to themselves. They’re trying to trick the computer in their brain to spit out… “C.H.A.D”
