Discussion I've always wondered how life in rural US looks like?

I’ve explored quite a few cities in the U.S. but I’ve never really gone beyond the city limits or suburban areas mostly just stuck to the areas in east and west coast. I’ve always been curious about what life is like in the middle America places like Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, South Dakota, Kentucky etc.

i can mainly speak only from kentucky and ny its alot of horse farms there with insanely expensive horses but its very quiet and peacfull untill you realized the horse you just petted has more earned more than 5 generations of you and your whole city's family

Depends on where they went to uni, studying in London is grim I've heard but I moved out for uni and its fun
If you're commuting its gonna be shit, also is inherently gonna be shit if you're ugly/super ND/high inhib because you have to go out of your way to meet people and make friends and such

London is a shithole now but I'm studying a bit further out and its nice

uk's countryside is amazing but yeah london is pure hell now same with denmark as soon as you step into countryside its a entirely diff country

Probably like most rural areas, nothing happens and the average age is like 60
you'll also need a car to live, and anything you do beyond grade school will revolve around the nearest sizable city anyways

I live in nm near Colorado and it's amazing
You can go outside and breathe fresh air
Go on walks to the river
At night it's peaceful with crickets chirping and dogs in the distance barking

I’ve lived in rural areas on the West Coast most of my life. It is peaceful and beautiful and a healthier lifestyle, makes being in cities feel overwhelming. But especially west of the Mississippi, things can be very spread out and in very rural areas you have to drive hours for some basic services, there are bad healthcare shortages and other issues in some of these areas.

The rural areas usually consist of farms, nature, occasionally a small town or two.
