I have been in a non-monogamous (or open, if you prefer) relationship for 3 years. AMA.
3 years ago I started a relationship and we both decided early on that we didn't want to be exclusive. We are perfectly stable and happy and this confuses a lot of people, including friends, family and acquaintances who are interested in the subject but find it difficult to understand the nature of the relationship. For this reason, I thought it was pertinent to create this thread if there is interest from the community in asking questions about the topic.
I think it makes sense to share here because 1. I am Portuguese and 2. non-monogamy/polygamy seems to be still a very niche topic in Portugal (worldwide, of course, but in Portugal even more when compared to several European countries).
Ask me anything if you feel like it. I am working, with meetings in between, but I will respond if there is traction.
Edit: I'm going to take a break from answering because I'm going out to dinner (date, just me and my girlfriend, yeah, it happens!). Thanks for the traction in the post and the healthy discussion
