I didn't get invited for the engagement party due to limited capacity. As a result, I didn't feel like I was genuinely considered a friend like I thought I was. I am not sure whether or not I should go. It would feel petty not to go just because I wasn't "important" enough for the engagement party but also it would be rude not to go after being invited to the wedding.
