I first heard of mewing in june of 2021 when it started getting popular on social media, I was told to place my tounge on the roof of my mouth and thats it. after a few days of mewing it was getting annoying to constantly keep my tounge on the roof of my mouth so i decided to just fully close my jaw at all times since it makes it way easier to mew and i dont have to put any effort in. What i didnt know was this was called an "overbite" or deep bite, instead of lightly touching my teeth while mewing, my jaw was fully clamped. I didnt think i was doing anything wrong until i visited my dentist a few months ago and i was told i have an overbite, and all my back teeth are slanted inwards, to my surprise, i looked in the mirror and my back teeth looked like those of a meth smoker. Over. Mewing incorrectly has done irreversible damage on my teeth and gave me recessions. Mewing correctly probably wont fix it now, i think im too old.

I highly doubt mewing had anything to do with that especially at your age.

it wasn't mewing but the specific way i was mewing, constant pressure on your bottom set of teeth causes them to be sloped inwards, my teeth have always been normal but im not sure, it was the first time a doctor ever mentioned it

how could you clamp your teeth if you have an overbite?

pubertymaxx is cope for 90% of forum

You always had the overbite

Ay, better than being recessed right

Mewing had no flow. You simply have a malocclusion that has gotten worse with age. Mewing these are not super powers.
