i know our quality of life is great.. thats awesome.. but... i legitimately think that poor rice farmers in vietnam feel a deeper sense of happiness than the common 1st world westerner does
Two things
I dont think you can have a real family in the west, you certainly wont be head of the household because thats the governments role. And your wife certainly wont feel any special obligation to take care of you or even particularly like you for that matter, youll just be a last ditch option.
But more importantly i dont think humans can thrive in hypercompetitive environments. Wouldnt you be much happier tending to your rice fields in vietnam and going home to your loving wife and kids? Yes it would be a simple life but a fulfilling life
The west is too much of a rat race, everyone is trying to step on my face to climb the social ladder, the corporate ladder and to MOG ME.. im sick of it
You cant find peace in the 1st world, its been fucked
